What is therapy about?
For many people therapy is the first step in acknowledging that we need help. Most people come to therapy when something in their life is not working. Whether it be due to stress, depression, anxiety, overwhelm, indecision, a relationship…the list keeps going. Some people come to therapy because they want freedom from something that is troubling them right now, and others from something that has been with them for much longer, and often times it’s both. Although everything may not make sense to you in this moment, suffering is a message that something inside of you needs attention. It might sound strange but, your confusion, anger, anxiety, sadness all have meaning and have set you on a path of self-discovery.
